A pre-application meeting for TCGA Expansion RFA prospective applicants addressed the goals and objectives for the expansion of the TCGA Research Network, the application content and financial questions.

TCGA Workshop: Genomics and Biology of Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM) (March 24, 2008)
This workshop reviewed the initial GBM data from the TCGA pilot project and featured presentations by the centers participating in TCGA to share the initial findings and discussions on the challenges of translating this information.

TCGA Pilot Project Launch (December 13, 2005)
This news conference led by leaders at the National Institutes of Health and the cancer research community was held to officially announce this ambitious project.
